Cheap as chips!

I know the 166 suffers heavy depreciation, but the prices are getting ridiculous. Autotrader is showing a '99 V-plate 2.5 V6 24V Sportronic with 125,000 miles and FSH for £1695! That's a trader, rather than a private individual, as well.

Re: Cheap as chips!

As an owner of a '99 V-plate 2.5 V6 24 V Sportronic with 150k+ on the clock I'm just grateful that it is still such a pleasure to drive. A 130 mile round trip today and I get home more relaxed than when I set out. Bought mine for £4,500 3 years ago so feel that even with a residual of £1,000 it has been worth it. Maybe the time to chop this one out and invest another 3-4 year old....

This month's Glass's guide lists the trade price for an 04/04 3.2 166 at £9950!!
The trade price for the 99 2.5 at 125K miles is £2450, at the average 64K miles it's £3275, but if no one wants to buy the prices tumble.
