I live in the states, in Southern California. It's impossible to find alfa parts here or anyone that can help sort this out. The 164's have a record of leaking a bit of oil from the front of the engine, then the oil gets hot and it creates this bit of smoke. What is the problem? which gasket do i need to replace. is it repairable? how much labor (hours) does it require and as always... how much does it cost?? sorry for all the questions, but I really appreciate this. TIA
It sounds as if the oil is possibly coming from the cam cover gasket.
Your best bet is to contact Alfissimo.com who can get all the parts you need for both of your Alfa's. Jason Minos is the man in charge you can call him on 480-330-0844.
You could also get more advice from the 164 Discussions forum which has mostly US based cars.
