Nice 164

How much do you folks reckon this very nice looking 164 on Ebay is worth, they want £2450 on their website?

Hey Bogart

Thats my old one, I part xed it for my 166. Obviously the dealer or someone connected is selling it.

Anyway, I can guarantee the mileage and condition (but it was starting to get the LED fading problem).

If anyone wants genuine info about it, feel free to ask.

Re: Nice 164

Nice car indeed but not worth more than about £1500 - £1900 in todays market. Late Mint 24v Cloverleafs are not fetching much more than £2000-£2500 these days. Aircon not working "suspect a regas" ... come on, wtf does that mean, why would it need a "regas" surely he means "suspect a leak which is too expensive for me to have done".

Buyer beware.

That all said, it's still silly money for a hell of alot of car. Just be prepared to spend money on it when you own one, they are far from cheap to own.

If you decide to bid, make sure you dont bid until the last minute.

Didn't realise you could get the Lusso without leather... Wouldn't touch any car with a non working A/C system BTW.

Bought mine without working aircon. Oh forgot mine doesn't have aircon, something else less to worry about.

Re: Nice 164

If I were to buy the car for 2450, i'd expect a complimentary tub of vaseline .
at the minimum I'd want a warranty.

Has any one seen the car willikins & co have been hawking for 6+ months on autotrader? that's only 2000.

it's a sad fact the 164 is dirt cheap But i wouldn't pay extra.

Someone's got a good car for a little money. I can assure you that they will not be dissappointed

The aircon prob can only be a bad seal/joint or a hole in the condenser (airco rad), guaranteed. I did not know that there was a problem with it (hadn't had many warm weekends on my fortnightly weekends back in UK).

I had it for 2.5 years, during which time I only did 10,000 miles. It drives sweet as a nut (there was no bull in the sellers description), I think that it should need a clutch soon though because my previous 164 (had that for over 5 years, before it got written off after a bump - saddest day of my life) got to around 80,000 miles on it's original clutch.

Plus, if I was in the UK more and had somewhere to keep it, I wouldn't have part xed it when I bought the 166. So that should tell you something.
