Well Happy Zender spoiler now fitted ! YAY !

Hi all !

Well last night I fitted my painted Zender spoiler to to my 166.

I have to say, I was well worried doing this, but it turned out quite well, and I'm quite proud of myself.

Just a note for everyone incase they ever buy the Alfa glue kit... the end cap DOES NOT JUST "POP IN" as I was told ! Infact, it needs pulling out to reveal the push plate within.... anyway, it's done now.

Here's some pics I just took....

Lovely spoiler. Integrates very well with the shape of the car, without spoiling the lines. Also love the colour btw. Very rare.

Very nice, almost blends with the bodywork, typical Zender class.

Thank you all very much for your comments on the spoiler. Much appreciated.

And yes, it's a green one. Minerva green apparently

Didn't realise it was a rare colour though ! Cool !

Cheers

That's just a great look. Did you just do the boot spoiler or the side skirts etc. as well.

Who supplies the Zender kits & what's it worth these days.

TC has left us i'm afraid...think you can still get the zender kit from zender direct...

you could try either Carshine (in melbourne) or your alfa dealer. when the 156 and 166 were initially released in australia, 'alfa australia' offered the zender kits as a 'factory option' (sic). i had a full zender kit fitted to my 156 with the same style bibtail boot spoiler (far classier than the massive hoop/shopping trolley rear spoiler some people opted for!).

so your alfa dealer may be able to help out with supply and fitment. or...

http://www.carshine.com.au/

zender stuff is not cheap, but are top quality. resin/plastic pieces that fit well, rather than cheaper, brittle fibreglass material. i would expect just the rear spoiler to set you back AUS$500+ incl paint/fitment. back in 2001, the 15-piece 156 kit set me back AUS$5600, supplied/painted/fitted. would probably cost even more today.
