166 wanted.....

I've recently changed jobs and am no longer commuting with my Mrs. This has left us with a terrible dilemma - who uses the 166 and who uses something else?

We've argued and discussed for a while now and have concluded the only realistic option is to buy another 166. Requirements: Black, V6 and not expensive. Cash waiting, my PM facility is limited to 5 but I'll endeavour to keep on top of the vast number of replies I anticipate...........

Might consider a deal on my 156 V6 (pic in my gallery).

True but it's also exactly the same colour inside and out as the one we already have and although his 'n' hers is the idea we don't want 2 identical ones.

Good spot though

I think you know where there is a black one, Chris......but if the one Paul's posted above comes at a sensible price it looks like a cracker!

Don't really have a strict budget, depends on the deal. No point buying a concours example as whatever I end up with will be doing about 16,000 miles a year, mostly on the motorway.

I may well end up selling my 156 V6 and (shock horror ) my Alfa 6. Main point of this post was to see what's out there and 3 candidates have already presented themselves so thanks to all for comments.

If your still looking for a 166, I have a red one (I know, you wanted black). 105k miles, timing belt changed at last service, new water pump with metal impellor, full alfa service history. MOT'd til September and text until end of April. It's a 3L V6 sportronic, ready to drive away?
