key codes

hi all does anyone know how i can get the key code that came with the car, as i didnt get the code when i bought my 166.

Don't talk to me about key codes!

My 166 came with just one key (it was a Finance repo), I felt that I needed a second key.

£180 for a key

£37 for the codes

£60 for the programming & set up.


Total madness...

Well, I think that I did.

I'm not sure what you can do with the code on its own. My car is a 2005
face lifted model, they have different keys to yours.

think ive solved the codelight problem. fiddled with a yellow wire under the steering wheel area and it hasnt happened since. the same wire goes down under the gearstick where i was fiddling to get sport mode working the other day.
