Gearbox drain plugs size?

I am about to change the gearbox oil on my 01 Twin Spark manual.

The cd manual and the handbook just say "remove the two drain plugs"

Can anybody tell me the size so I can get a special tool or whatever is required?

10mm and 12mm Hex or Allen.

Found out the hard way tonight

How much oil came out of the diff drain plug when you took it out? Reason I ask is I didnt know there were 2 and just drained off the main gear box drain . Dont really want o drain it again cos the oil cost £30

Can't answer that as I took the diff plug out first and when I got to the gearbox plug hardly any oil came out.

I would say you are probably ok as of course you have probably changed the majority of the oil which is much better than not doing it at all which is what most people do.
