Remove ISC unit on 166 Twinspark - ISC code missing

Hi All

Ive lost the ISC code (2000 twinspark 166). I need to get to the ISC to see the serial numbers. Does anyone know exaclty how to remove the top Silver facia cover so I can pull the ISC unit out and and read the serial numbers.
I have removed the bottom part of the facia, but the top section where the all the control buttons (and cassete hole) are, does not seem to be easily removed
Any detailed help would be much appreciated
Thanks
Gill

That guide is briljant. Pressing back the two clips with the screwdriver may be frustrating though. Remove/break them from the side and you'll have no problems if you happen to have to remove the unit ever again.

Hi
Thanks for this. How long a screwdriver should be use. Im having problems getting to the SIDE clips.
If they are damaged does that mean the ISC unit will not be securely held in future
Long shot, any one got a vidio or pictures of the removal
Regards
Gill

Even removing the clips won't do harm. The space the ICS slides in, is pretty narrow. You really have to pull to get it out. Besides that, when the gearstick panel is in place, it also blocks the ICS from sliding out. So don't worry about the clips.

This is the screwdriver I used:

It's a rather small one, just find the hole, and if it touches the bottom of the hole ok then it's long enough.

Glad the pictures have been of help to others by the way, seems to be in popular demand
