drilled and grovved do very little for your braking performance unless you plan on regular track days.
What they do do is:
1. wear your pads far more quickly (with resulting alloy corroding dust)
2. more likely to develope cracks around holes.

Spend your money on better pads - greenstuff/redstuff DS2500 and better spec fluid

I'm running drilled & grooved Black Diamonds with predator pads all round overall very pleased with them was a bit worried about poor performance when cold but they are a match for the standard pads & when warm are very impressive and they do look fantastic they'll look even better when I get my Ti style wheels on. Only had them about a year so any time now

Good point Chris! Forgot about that!! But they would look good!

So these black diamond Discs and pred pads are only just as good as the original Brembos? To be honest the brake system on the 166 is quite good, my old one was crap so I wonder if I have better pads.

Cold pretty much the same, very high speed braking and lots of use on fast roads they're incredible I used to run out of brakes from very high speeds after a couple of stops with the original set up, now they're pretty much fade free & I can't say I've noticed an increase in brake dust

very happy with the original Brembos, when u have new pads they bite hard and have phenomenal stopping power..But u got to have good discs as well...I would only use grooved discs for tracks and extreme high speed driving...I brake a lot from 200 kph with excellent stopping power..
