OK, who was it?
in Manchester in a 3.0 (well, had the horseshoes wheels) black, Alfaowner sticker on the side, reg MIB something
I attempted the Alfa wave at such a rare event of having two 166s along side, but I guess they were lost and concentrating on the blue flashing police car.
Anyway, the blue 2.5 was me, somewhat out of my normal territory.

Re: OK, who was it?
Originally an irish reg but possibly used as a UK cherished plate (My boss has an irish car and has MIB... I had a private plate on my first 164 - XJI 164 3, only cost £50!).
Anyway, not me - Tony Rome has a black Super but not due in Englandshire for another month or so!

Re: OK, who was it?
Its my old car, sold it to a guy in Altrincham. He is into Alfas but don't think he lurks around on here.
I saw a spotless 166 ti on the M62 yesterday and I think I am falling in love all over again!!

Re: OK, who was it?
I was going to suggest yours mickeybee but had no way of knowing what the 53 had been replaced with.
Your 156 looks great BTW - I loved my Sportwagon (had it for 4 years - my record!) and still think it looks really fresh.

Re: OK, who was it?
it was near Altrincham, being a local I would not have expected him to be in the right hand lane of the A56, then turn left, that's why I thought he was lost.

Re: OK, who was it?
Yeah - Would have been nice to keep the 166 Ti and the Brera but the wife likes her Grande Punto!
The Brera is great but obviously lacks the 166 space, the 200 bhp diesel is very capable and sounds excellent under load but I do miss the V6 growl and the "real" shiny pipe engine under the bonnet.
Heading off on journey to South of France tomorrow - Not as much luggage going with us!

Re: OK, who was it?
Long journey for us - Couple of stops in England, hit France on Monday, couple of night at Euro Disney then down to Saint-Raphael (close to Saint-Tropez). What about yourself?
Really looking forward to it now - Will do around 3000 miles in our 19 days away

Re: OK, who was it?
oh yeah i forget that your all the way up there!
we're setting off at 4:30 and heading straight to a place just north of Cognac. It's to stay with the parents in law, which is a million times better than it sounds! (as they will baby sit for sure)
Did the same trip last year in the 166, and felt like i had hardly been driving!
Have a safe trip and enjoy Euro disney
