Front drop links for anti-roll bar - replacement

Hi all,

Just checking to see if this is a straightforward job to do at home and to see that nothing horrible will 'ping' out or go out of alignment when attempting to replace the front drop links for the anti-roll bar.

Mine look a bit tired and there is some minor clonking when going over bumpy surfaces slowly so hope this will play some part in curing this.

Has anyone changed these before and, if so, what difference has it made!?

Cheers!

Changed mine a couple of months ago, helped a bit. ***** of a job as the nuts are antislip, so hard work all the way up the thread. same with new ones going on, tough turning all the way. Easy with air tools i expect.

Easy enough job, if the bushes haven't rusted to the links themselves! But nothing surprising happens, no special tools required either...

Had the badly oiled spring noise problem coming on suddenly, so decided to take everything off at the front!!Changed the lower wishbones, regreased the upper ones[ no play in those] and refitted everything..Oh , while at it,I skimmed the discs and fitted new pads..Surprise,surprise, the spring noise went but replaced with cloncking..So the drop links had to go too..The easiest job of the lot..
All in all, a USD 400 job..or GBP 200 if u like...money well spent..
