330mm brakes

Does anyone know if the 156GTA front discs of 330mm diameter can be fitted on a pre facelift 166 which has 305mm discs?
Anyone done it?

Cheers

Sure it can but you will need the bigger calipers also. I think you will find your discs are currently 308mm, 310mm on later 166s - Not the same as GTA.

GTA have 98mm PCD which is not the same as the 166. GTA discs are 305x28mm and 330x32mm.

Yep, Pascs is right, the PCD is 5 X 108 on a 166 and 5 X 98 on a 156 + the GTA has different uprights to a stock 156, check the hectic post from Chris155 on this.. it opened my eyes bigtime to the differences betwen the cars, apparently even the ABS systems are different.. so even fitting 156 GTA brakes to a 156 v6 or TS is a big job..

http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/tunin...4mm-330mm.html (Brake conversion 284mm -> 330mm)

I suggest getting the Sport Japan discs from Tar.OX which are direct bolt ons and fit a better friction pad like EBC of Ferodo DS 2500.

p.s. the calipers on the 166's are 4 pistons also and excellent, so just fit a better disc and pad and that should sort you out.. check www.gazzella.cc

Cheers and good luck..
