Re: Subtle details game on the 166

I love the way the windscreen washers stay on for about 5 seconds when the washer fluid is running low (I thought it was an electrical problem at first ).

Love the rear mirror vibrates with the bass.

Love the way the auto downchange in sport mode jerks you forwards slightly (love the noise too).

Love the folding leccy mirrors.

Love the metal Alfa Romeo door strips that save you scratcing the paintwork with your feet on your way in/out.

The wee square thing is definitely the Solar Radiation Sensor for the air-con.

the skooshers only do that long spray thing when you give them a quick flick...if you pull the stock for a wee bit longer they go straight off!

oh right.....will have to try that.

I also like the waythat the jets go on slightly before the blades move, so that the blades are wet....first noticed this on my Dads '99 Spider...touch of class.

Re: Subtle details game on the 166

Regarding the jets, I like the way that my drivers side one is never properly adjusted, it either shoots way too high or way too low. Nothing in between!
Hopefully getting a new panel this afternoon to cure that, though.

No, the sensor for that is next to the cassette eject.

The windscreen washer is a full (pull & hold briefly) or a user-set (pull & hold as long as you want) wash.

Why it doesn't have a level warning light I don't know

Now that you mention it, the cassette drive is a subtle detail itself.

i love the way the tail lights mimick the angle of the boot lid when they are on, you get 4 red stripes at the same angle as the boot shut line

The way that simply sitting in the rear seats can make you feel so relaxed and comfortable you think you might just stay there just a bit longer.
