Re: Subtle details game on the 166
The chrome strips that start at the base of either side of the windscreen and run down the roof.
The way the keyhole for the boot is concealed under the Alfa badge that swivels (not only 166s but I think its brilliant).
The rear sunblind - something I really appreciate having here in Oz.
The 12v outlet for the rear seat passengers.
And a few subtle styling details:
The way the bonnet shutlines frame the headlights.
The sculpted sides, and the way the flares around the wheels rise and fall out of them.

Re: Subtle details game on the 166
Another one is the ashtray release, just push to open, soft opening then when open push a little further to release the ashtray insert which rises up. I'd had the car over year until I figured that one out!

Re: Subtle details game on the 166
The small faded LED on top of the dashboard. Not functioning in my 166. I replaced it for a blue flashing LED when the ignition is switched off as a pseudo indicator for an alarm system.
The corroded outside door openers.

My flashing LED is on the vent bit just above the dashboard compartment. As pigfarmer said, what is that square thing?

Re: Subtle details game on the 166
I like the chrome tops to the wheel bolts, so they do not corrode, like on my 145, stay nice and shiny.

The way the DSP subwoofers vibrate your rear view mirror, even at modest levels!

Re: Subtle details game on the 166
the remote is RF so doesn't need a line of sight sensor....pretty sure it's the sunlight sensor for the climate control - when it realises it's sunny it directs mroe cold air to face level.

Re: Subtle details game on the 166
the silver grey stripe that goes round the circumference of the wooden steering wheel. Not visible form the drivers seat, but through the windscreen or when you are getting in.

I always figured it was just a plastic cover for a screw holding the dash in place
I love the arm rest - maybe the rest of you need to get longer legs
I love the way that cruise control only operates at under 110.
