Help, Alarm going off.

My alarm has started misbehaving. About two three times a week it just goes off on its own. Would appreciate any ideas as to why and how to cure it. Thanks.

mine does that as well - as soon as any heavyish vehicle passes off it goes....i just lock with the key now

It seems to go off when the weather is warm, not when its cold. I was in Derbyshire for three days where it was freezing and windy. It only went off once when the sun briefly came out and the wind dropped. Could it be expanding air inside a closed car setting off something?

its a long shot but it worked in my GTV......... I actually had a resident spider..

It used to come out at night and sometimes trigger the alarm I guess by walking over the interior sensors..

It was an aftermarket alarm system but 166's Im sure have built in interior sensors somewhere?

yeah, above the rear view mirror along with the centre light. Mine's not random, defo just very sensitive...

DSP sets mine off if left on.
