166 leaking outer cv boot done the easy way

To assist anyone with a leaking outer cv boot .

Clean off all the exposed grease and cover with cling film to keep clean .

Fit sticky boot and glue up.Once set remove cling film and slip in situ and replace clips.

Job done around £15 and 1 hour of your time.

Its a Bailcast sticky boot and you just have to cut of the first section at the narrow end and it fits good.

To be honest I got the first one for around £4...IIRC £11.50 and had an ebay voucher for £7.50.....As I used this one and think its good I got another as a spare for £1.95...£11.95 but this time I used a £10 ebay voucher.

A lot cheaper than having to get new balljoints etc.

The ebay vouchers I had to use them or lose them so it made sense both times.

They were a lot dearer at the local factors.

Elbarto the pictures are not as good as your sets which I found to contain excellent information.When I get the chance I am going to try to get mines looking as good as yours by buffing off the rust and painting with hammerite.The results in your photosets are amazing.
