Non working heater/fan/aircon

Driving along the other day when a very strong burning smell plus smoke from under dash/centre console filled the car. Switched off, coasted to a halt and looked for anything obvious, nothing found. Started car again, no further smoke or smell but now the heater/aircon does not work. Any clues anyone as to what it might have been/where to start looking?

Sounds like a heater fan failure, quite a big job to fix because the Aircon has to be drained down and the fan is in the £140 region. Make sure your pollen filter is clean at the same time.

I still haven't done mine yet But today with the hot weather i adjusted it and now the cool air is coming out the vents just not fan assisted.
