Reconditioned engine required

Not sure I'm posting messages in the right place but I guess if I put them everywhere they may get through! My Alfa 166 (newly serviced, 5 years old, 70,000 on the clock, 4 new tires, etc., etc.). Things going fine until everything went wrong on bank holiday Monday. Now desperately seeking a reconditioned engine. Surely the car is too good just to write it off? Can anyone help?

there is a engine on ebay for sale, about £1000, dont think youll find one any cheaper. Def worth the effort and keeping the car!
