An interesting afternoon

The 166 needed an oil and filter change, but as I have broken a bone in my right hand. I had to stand and give instructions to my son, who to be fair does use the car more than I do at the moment.

Well, that was quite a laugh, he is not really mechanically minded. His forte is computers and programming.

He asked me how long it would take I said about an hour, four hours later, we are finished!

The oil filter is very difficult to get to and remove, any tips on a good removal tool?

I was very frustrated just standing there, but it gets worse. He now wants to change the sparkplugs. I've had a look, and it looks like the front three are quite easy, so any tips for the back three would be welcome.

Only tip I can give, if you're right-handed, don't break your right-hand - it is very frustrating not to able to use both hands!
And using your left hand to do things you normally do with your right hand is not very easy!
If you're right-handed try brushing your teeth with your left hand!

For oil filter I use this tool and longer filter (cca 100 mm in lenght).

To change spark plugs, you must remove intake plenum.
Maybe this helps.
