166 ECU version for Sportronic and manual

Hi All,
Who know the ECU version for 1999' 166 3.0 24v Sportronic and manual? I got one number Bosch ME2.1 0261204032 software version 356380 is it for Sportronic use or 6 gear manual use?
My sprotronic transmission is broken ,I am think replace the manual transmission on. Is it possible to do it?

the manual tranny doesn't use an ECU so I don't see any problems apart from fitting it

You mean 166 manual gear doesn't use an ECU ? how to contorl the fule injection and ignition? has anyone change Sportronic to manual gear box?

ON the ECU's - The Engine uses an ECU and the Gearbox a seperate ECU. I've had trouble with my engine ECU an tried fitting a 156 Manual ECU - immediately the gearbox light came on. So I believe the Engine ECU is different from Manual to Automatic - You therefore would not be able to run an manual ECU on sportronic- don;t know hte other way around? Maybe it will limit the revs? Can't tell... Hope this helps

As I know the ECU S/N for 156 manual and selectseppd are different Bosch 0261204949 for selectspeed and 0261204948 ,927,..for manual .)
But the 166 ECU S/N are same 0261204032 both sportronic and manual ,only software version different.So I wolud appreciated if some can provide the software and the ECU ME2.1 Pin out for me
