I’ve done about 8000 miles, in just over 4 months, in my Black 159 SW ti 2.4. It conforms to most of my expectations – relatively poor economy, shocking tyre wear but a thoroughly satisfying drive, in a car that handles as well as it looks. Compared to my old Audi and Volvo diesels, all well built and reliable, they lack flair and perform accordingly – relatively dull and unexciting.
I had a pioneer AVIC satnav fitted, which performs remarkably well in terms of bluetooth, ipod & satnav, and with the colouring, it looks as if it was the product of a bespoke design.
I have not experienced any glitches, of any sort, to date – black is a challenge to keep clean, inside and out, but with a little effort this car can look almost irresistible. Without any side strips, the car remains vulnerable to inconsiderate cretins in car parks and the 19” wheels need careful consideration when thrashing around country lanes. But I like driving it – it looks and feels good, and despite its relative thirst, the 2.4 engine performs well, particularly at higher speeds.
Delighted thus far!
