Brera 3.2 Q4 prospective buyer. Auto or Manual?
Hello everyone. I must admit having a weak spot for the Brera. I'm seriously considering a 3.2 Q4. There are currently two for sale in Argentina.
First car is a red 2006, manual, 17" alloys, skywindow roof. Pretty stock elsewhere.
The other car is a black 2010, Automatic 18" (8C style) wheels, red leather.
Both are low mileage cars, well cared for, with silly asking prices, as usual in our country!
It will be intended to do the daily conmute, about 30 miles a day, mostly motorways, and the occasional track day with fellow Alfa lovers. Fuel is not a concern, these are driver's cars after all.
I do prefer the interior and wheels of the newer car, but have reserves about the Auto box.
What are your opinions on the Auto box?
Does it get reasonably fast gearchanges?
What about the paddle shifters, are they worth the pain?
Do you feel an auto is a match to a manual?
Is the box reliable enough?
Does it make sense with the Q4 transmission?
thanks a lot and keep the interesting chat out there!
