Crazed 159 Oil Level indicator

Mine goes a bit nuts. Some weeks back it showed empty and gave a warning after being parked on a steep downward drive overnight. It eventually cleared as the day went on.

Same thing today although not parked anywhere other than on the level

Oil is to MAX (hasn't moved since new 2.5k miles now).

Anyone else had the same?

Yes mine went through a period of either showing full or losing two bars irrespective of road surface, theres no beating the old fashioned take the dipstick out and check.... never gets electronic glitches

One of my work colleagues has the 156ti - on her second engine. Anyway, she warned me about the oil in the first thousand miles or so. But...my gauge hasn't moved after 5,600 miles.

Re: 159 Oil Level indicator

Mine goes down a dink on slopes and a dink as it gets to the service, so I know it works, if it sais max all the time I think I would get the dipstick out more often.

Mine is a Jtd and doesnt need topped up in between services, I reckon it uses less then 250ml every 20,000 miles.
