Re: 159 Oil temperature gauge warning light
Thanks for the support guys. Having rejected cars successfully before, I would prefer to get my 159 right and keep it I think! Finally got car back on Sunday with the problem rectified, of sorts!
Their are 4 wires into the sump, two of which come from the same wire and split - it was these that were shorting out and making the gauge go mental - replaced the split wire with two seperate ones and voila! No more warnings!
However, in repairing this they disabled my bluetooth phone kit and left the carin a right state (filthy, grubby marks on seats/trim etc and worse of all, scrathes and chips all over the silver centre dashboard area where they have removed the stereo and heater controls to get to the pod etc.
I took the car back today and gave the Service Manager a very strong, objective letter requesting it to be right with compensation. I saw him giving a technician a right b***ocking before he had a word with me - all over me like a rash now! Ordering new centre console for the weekend when it will all be put right.
Its a shame that companies don't take pride in their work and aim to get things right the first time!
