Brera remap & stretchy chain

Going to have a look at 2.2 Brera tomorrow. 2007 with 55k miles with new chain & ancillaries replaced by Alfa specialist at last service. I'm going to get the remap done by Gus at Alfatune ....BUT does anyone know if the remap could cause premature stretching or put extra pressure on a already brittle piece of 'engineering'. I'm going to give it regular oil changes so hopefully that should help.

Should be fine. Mine was remapped in June last year. 10,000 miles later it's still fine and just flew through MOT.

Our 2.2 Brera had a Gus remap last year after the front of the engine was changed due to a plastic tensioner breaking off inside and wrecking everything. Its a far better car to drive now, but it also had to have a straight through exhaust installed after the cat as part of the remap process. Gus probably won't remap it unless you change the exhaust to get rid of the back pressure. I should check with him first.
Not aware of any additional stress on the timing chain.
