well - a 2.0 TDI Passat just passed me on the Autobahn, it just keept pulling away from 140kph onwards.
As i test drove both around the Town i lived in, i used the local Autobahn to check for engine performance and fuel consumption - it happend on both the Breara and the 159 Sportwagon - both were 210bhp versions. (Different Passats so megatuning is unlinkely on both)
Might be you guys in the UK did not notice it, but on a german Autobahn you will get pretty sad pretty fast if you expect to drive one of the faster cars - in fact they are slow both (for the power they got). I might add they both had verry large tires.... and coming from a chipped 156 and a 156V6 i am somewhat used to "faster" cars....
I test drove a 1.9 Delta TwinTubo a little later and was like "wow" why can't a 159 or Brera pull like that..... (granted the 1.9 does not sound any good)
Interesting because it feels strong at 2K. To me it feels faster than my GT (in a straight line at least). An Autobahn will I'm sure sort out the men from the boys. The 2.0TDi I drove a few years back (in an EOS) always felt quick. I had commented as such on here when I compared it to the 1.9 GT.
I would have said from memory the 2.4 feels like that TDi did. The TDi was a 2010 car whereas my 159 is a 2006.
In the Ferrari world BHP quoted figures are or used to be a rough guide
. They differed by quite a bit in reality I believe. Alfa too perhaps? An Italian thing?
Priorities I find, are usually someone else's.
Statements above are all my own opinion and not fact.
