Electric mirrors 159 07 2.2

Please be patient with me as I am new to the forum and I haven't worked myself around it yet and using a phone doesn't help

Anyhows I have the folding mirrors and they don't work properly, they don't close as they should not open, they will half close on one side and the other is fine.

Is there a cure to this issue or should I leave it alone and not bother using the folding option

Thanks guys and gals

Folding mirror drive are normally stuck from non- use.
Just strip mirror case and check drive. Exact procedure should be described in E-learn.
Sure proper lubrication would be enough to fix.

I had the exact same problem with my driver's side mirror. I coated the mechanism (by just spraying it) with a silicone cleaner. Autoglym. The type for rubber trim and such. I believe WD40 might have worked but the former seems to be permanent. Not had any issues in the last five months since
