Brera 3.2 have engine checked

Hi all

Just got into my Brera after a week away and I've got a get engine checked warning message appearing. Is this something serious and is there a way to check error code etc to see what the issue is?

Also what are the common issues that throw up this message on the 3.2 V6?

Any help much appreciated

Hope it's not the timing chains...
Get the code(s) read, no point guessing and worrying about it. It could be something and nothing.

Well that's strange. This morning I started the car and the engine warning message has gone. Has this sort of thing happened to anyone else and should I still get the car checked or leave it until the service is due in the summer?

I'm afraid these were the symptoms of mine when chain set had worn. I'd get about 50-100 miles between CEL and Limp mode

or simply check your battery

I was away for 6 weeks and it went flat, but in between it will throw up random unrelated error messages (Im sure youve heard)

sounds curious that after you ran it for a while it was ok ... could be battery
