Re: 159 On Top Gear
I know what you mean, Ghosty Dog (great name, by the way), but if you're a punter / car enthusiast thinking about buying, say a medium-sized BMW (I wouldn't buy one on principle, because of the way many BMW drivers seem to try to push everything else off the road!) or an Audi or an Alfa and want some (relatively!) unbiased advice on which drives better etc before going to test drive yourself, it'd be quite useful to get it on the show. They could mix a few more reviews with some of their crazy recent antics without ruining the show, couldn't they?
I'm not suggesting they just compare standard Suzuki Swifts with Toyota Yarises and Nissan Micras evevry programme, you know! Good to get some comment so quickly though.
PS, I drove a Suzuki Swift Sport the other day as it had had rave motroing magazine reviews and I thought it might be a fun small car. Very disappointing. A Ford Fiesta TDCi diesel (1.6) I drove half an hour later would have wiped the floor with the Swift Sport. I don't know what all the fuss has been about with the Suzuki,
