Boot Open

A little help please I have a 159 Ti and recently I get a 'Trunk open' message on my screen when either driving up a hill or going round a tight turn ie a roundabout.......the boot is shut and I have been locking the doors whilst driving so i'm thinking its a sensor/ loose connection somewhere, any help or pointers on where I should start looking would be very helpful as im a little concerned that the boot will fly open and my high line spoiler will come through the back window (snapping the boot struts)and join me in the car

I used to get this on my Spider, but never had the doors locked when driving.
Didn't do much with it and it just stopped. Been fine for years.
Just one of the many annoyances I've had.

The sensor is in the lock so it might be useful to check it's adjustment.

Hi gawainselby,

did you get this resolved? I am now having the same issue on my Ti Sportwagon after having the battery off for best part of 2 days whilst work was being carried out. Not had any issues with it in the 2 years I've had the car

All the best
