Brembo Brake Caliper pins (Sticky Maybe)
I need to change the discs and pads on my 2008 Spider LE and as normal one of the pins was seized solid, not so much an issue as an annoyance. Getting out a seized pin will destroy it and you will have to replace it. As good practise its always recommended to replace them when you change the pads anyway. My car has the 305mm Discs and Brembo calipers. Having hunted around I discovered that a replacement pair of pins and a shim was circa £42.00 (per side). I then read on this forum about possible alternatives. But no definite information, some more investigating and I discovered that Mito pins are £15.95 for four pins, two shims and some lubricant. Now at this point no one could tell they would actually fit. But at the price difference it was worth a punt.
I have attached some pictures of the new and the Mito pins together. The pins are a few millimeters longer front and rear neither of which is at all important, the shims appear identical.
I have included the part number to save you hunting around.
