Hi to all or anyone...
Has anyone got any recent threads or solid links to cold starting problems on my Alfa 159 2.4 jtdm 210bhp 2008??
Here is the list of what I have done so far which I am still trying to sit down from but my bottom is far too sore :-( but I refuse to give up...
> Oil & Air filters to start
> Full diagnostics carried out by Alfa Specialists
> Glow plug relay
> Glow plugs (bruu german made, correct fitment 156.5mm not NGKs which are 151mm)
> EGR Blank
> Brand new inlet manifold
> Injectors tested by bosche all come back good
> High pressure fuel pump
> Crank sensor
> Cam sensor
> Mass sensor
> Uprated battery
> Compression test
>Turbo & all pipe work checked for cracks
> Turbo pressure sensor
> New high pressure fuel rail
But yet I am still having problems when the car is left for more than 4 hours to cool down or overnight, this cold start problem persists, starts on about the 7th crank, some mis-firing and a loud squeek which goes away after about a minute, then the car starts and runs lovely and goes like s**t off a shovel!! Please can anyone help, unfortunately I live in leicester and the only dealership is Sturgess who don't know their arse from their elbows. My car has only covered 90k miles with full service history and the cam belt and water pump boyh done at 82k. Many thanks for any help anyone can give... Gav
