My 61 plate is on 36,000 miles and just feels run in now so am enjoying it more than at any point since buying it. I am entering the slippery slope period of 3.5 years of ownership thinking, oh I fancy trying a few things out there....hurry up Giulia! :0)....so, yesterday I took out a new high spec Octavia vRS estate. That was nice and very good customer service. Not pushy at all and that car is really a nice drive-230 hp and huge boot. Today I went to take a Golf R out(booked in advance) but the Charlies in the branch nearby failed when I got there because they didn't call to say they couldn't now get one for me to drive. Well I am not interested now- they can shove their emissions up their......! Something different today- I got the two youngsters out and we drove a Toyota GT86...fun but reality says not enough space. Some other time perhaps. The guy who took me out was not the chattiest either....honestly the quality of sales from some of these brands at the minute is shockingly poor.
Needless to say, none of the above has convinced me to sell the Sportwagon. I simply can't see what looks as good that's out there to replace it with. The 1750 really is a good engine in the 159. I have 18 months until it's paid off. By then if there's a new Giulia out that'll be the time to review. Really hoping they a nice choice of petrol engines!
