Brera: small problems
I recently bought an 06 plate Brera and am generally really happy with the car. But there are a few small issues I was wondering whether other people had experienced and fixed.
1. When driving, the seat belt fastener rubs against the leather of the driver's seat causing a constant sqeaking noise. This isn't a problem on the passenger side, where there's a gap between the fastener and the seat. I've fixed this problem using some sticky velcro to hold the seat belt faster away from the seat and tight against the centre console, but does anyone know a more professional way to get this fixed.
2. The alarm occassionally goes off, even though no-one is near the car. I wondered, as this only happens first thing in the morning (which I'm guessing my neighbours don't appreciate), if this was something to do with the change in temperature/humidity at dawn, possibly affecting the volumetric sensors. I now deactivate the volumetric/lift sensor every night, and haven't had the problem since (but I have only had the car for a few weeks, so I am not sure if this was really the cause of the problem). Does anyone know whether this is a common problem that a dealer can fix?
3. The car has the automatic light sensor kit installed. At dusk, when it senses the lights need switching on, it dims the SatNav/Radio console as well. However, in the 10-20 mins between daylight and darkness, the sensor seems to be too sensitive. It is constantly dimming and undimming the Satnav console which is quite distracting, so I tend to have to turn the Satnav console off. Has anyone else had this problem and got it fixed?
