Could badly done Tbelt cause...?
Hi guys and gals,
My car is in official Alfa garage for apparently cylinder head change (and a valve/piston etc. I guess). I came to work to Czech republic, so I don't understand the language well hence not sure what the hell they explained me yesterday on a phone. Awful customer service everywhere in this country. They know me I speak English and they have a guy who speaks fulent english but there you go.. My Czech friend will talk to them today so I will know more precisely.
My question: is it possible that badly done timing belt could have cause this problem with cylinder head?
I'm asking because the same garage changed me tbelt 3 months ago and this problem started a month ago.
Problem: very bad rattling start and a LOT of smoke. Also a little too much smoke on acceleration too. Fuel consumption increased a little bit too.
Their diagnosis showed that 1 cylinder is getting too much fuel; it's worn out or something.
