Galvanised subframe?

Just mooting the idea. New subframe going on next week or two but with all the likely corrosion (and Cornish salty air) I'm thinking I could get it galvanised before fitting.
Has anyone done this? What are the drawbacks?

You could try bilt hambers clear spray. Apply before winter and clean off after.

In the hot dip galvanising process you have to make sure there are no trapped air pockets or it will explode. You get round this by drilling holes in any sealed cavities.
Then the main drawback is the potential for warping in the heating a cooling process. I would think this is less of a problem with a subframe (as oppesed to a whole chassis) as it will flex back to true when you bolt it to the monocoque (but I wait to be corrected on this point).
Lots of guys do it to their Land Rover chassis and I know of a guy doing it to his TVR Griffith chassis.
Having seen the state of some 159 subframes it seems like a good idea if you have a company nearby that can do it.
