Re: Looking To Buy A Brera This Weekend
I've been very happy with my Brera. It would be nice to see a few more on the road.
The reliability has so far been fine.(I've had it for 7 months,5k miles). I did have the problem with the rocking drivers seat, but that was fixed under warranty with no fuss.
Assuming you've test driven the car, & feel comfy in the drivers seat, as very tall drivers (6ft++) may feel headroom is restricted. Also, there's very little rear legroom.
I have the 3.2 Brera, & so can't personally vouch for performance/economy of other models, but fuel economy on all the Brera's does seem to be on consistent area of disappointment to a lot of owners.
On the plus side, you'll be owning a car which literally draws gasps of admiration from so many people,is comfy & practical (for the 2 front seat occupiers, anyway), is solidly built & is different to the vast majority of so many other bland looking boxes. The residual values were recently reported by one car magazine (sorry, can't remember which one) as one of the best in the country.
One area of criticism has been AR's after sales service, but again, they say they are aware of this & working on the issue.
I'd say definitely go for it, I doubt you'll regret it.
