Group I (9 months +) Child Car Seat for 159

I have twins and they have been in rear facing Maxi Cost ISOFIX up until now.

Because they are rear facing, it's impossible to have the driver's seat all the way back without having it lean forward. Result is that I have to sit on my sack. So, we tend to use the Outback for any kind of family journey.

Anyway, time to move to Group 1 and we are going front facing as rear facing is too big.

We have tried the Maxi Cosi Axiss, but it's going to be a very tight fit as I need the driver seat pretty much the whole way back.

I had a read of this thread (159 Ti + Britax Safefix Group 1 Child seat)

and the Recaro Sport seems well recommended. I have a Lusso, so not the same concerns as someone with a Ti I suppose.

Anyway, any other recommendations that will provide balance of safety and room for me?

Cowboys Ted, they're a bunch of cowboys!

I bought the britax advansafix which is a group 123 and as the same reason giblets46 mentioned it is one less thing to worry as it will go to the age of 12 years old.

If you go for the Recarro's you have the added benefit of the safest car seat on the market! Plus they look the business as a bonus.

(Full disclosure; I work in the nursery department at a John Lewis, so get asked similar questions daily)

I used the Recaro Young Sport first after the maxicosy. Now evolved to the Recaro Milano so my youngest can start using the Young Sport again.

I'm very positive off the Recaro seats and my eldest son likes driving around in that seat.

As elliottcharles stated, it looks "the business" too!

+1 for the Recaro young sport. Has mine for a couple of years with no issues in both Lusso and Ti models. Very comfy on long trips and feels very safe. My daughter is nearly 4 and loves it, regularly falling asleep in it
