Air conditioning whining, tinny noise.
Had another thread open which touched on this problem but it was titled for the gearbox whining. Iv had the bearings and clutch replaced as there was an issue their.
Iv had this same whining noise (unknowingly) at the same time the gearbox bearings where faulty, but I put full blame on the gearbox at the time. Once the bearings where replace I had a whole new car again but the whining noise still lingered unfortunately. I noticed this time that switching off the a/c or fans, the noise stopped. It's a strong metallic whinning noise. I had feedback on my other thread that the a/c system probably needs a re-gas and is likely the cause of this noise and others who had a re-gas had this noise cured.
Not long after my other thread, matter of days in fact, I lost all cold air from my a/c and with that the noise seemed to go also. So booked in a re-gas service on the system today and had it done at Kwikfit Swansea. Had the works done, service, re-gas, antibacterial, pollen filter all sorted.
A/C nice and cold again but....noise/whining is back! What on earth could this be, what part of the a/c is making this noise and how to I solve it? Have Kwikfit not done the job right or is there another issue that's going to be a bigger problem/repair bill?
Your advise and comments are much appreciated.
