h'okay here we go..
Joining the Brera family later this year and considering my options.
Any help appreciated, thanks guys.
Had a rummage about the Site, looked on Autotrader, Pistonheads and the like and THINK I have an idea where I'm going.
Be good to bounce them off you here though.
Not an out and out racer, but something "quick" would be good,
Will be happy with a grunty car that overtakes with no effort.
Petrol or diesel, given my low annual mileage...thinking about real world cost given my less than 8K annual mileage.
Has to put a smile on my face too, so whilst not wanting to be in the garage every week to fill up, dont want to be driving a clunker to save 10mpg or so either.
The 2.4 Diesel with an eventual remap is my initial option?
Thinking to get the engine/colour I want then "aftermarket Prodrive" it with the 19's, suspension/shocks etc.
(The markup on the Prodrives, whilst great bang for buck, seems a bit excessive when you can do them afterwards at a reputal Alfa indie?)
So thats my thoughts, the main one is the wisdom of the diesel given Im doing low milage each year, mostly town driving.
Any thoughts, a reasonable strategy?
