Please help me keep my kids out of trouble !!

This morning i had a rather annoying experience when i observed biro on my rear light tan leather seats - before i put 2 children into an orphanage can anyone suggest ways to remove it ?

I've tried soapy water, neat alcohol and leather cream all of wish have barely touched it.

Anything else worth a try - have other owners had this misfortune ?

I used Dr Leather to clean my leather, granted not biro but was very impressed with it and when i had suncream from the child on the back seats nothing shifted it apart from the Dr Leather....

One of those magic eraser sponges might be worth a go, just don't press on too hard or you'll rip the surface dye off. Failing that, get about 5000 Biros and colour the seats in total Biro, then get your kids faces tattood so they'll never forget.

Methylated spirits on a cotton bud stick thing. But test it in UNSEEN leather first, and you could try trying it first on the ink in the pen by writing on some fabric. This would apply to all the suggestions.

I second the isopropyl alcohol approach. have used on a leather couch at home and worked. Don't rub too hard as slight discoloration can occur.

Spray hairspray on it and the wipe before it evaporates. Once the pen is off then give it a clean with your usual leather cleaner just to remove any of the fragrances or such like that might be in the hairspray. I'd avoid the magic sponges as it acts like a very fine sand paper and will eventually remove from the top coat of the leather. I've made that mistake!
