Brakes callipers 159

Hi all, I'm new to the site but registered as I'm a proud owner of a 159 2.4 jtdm, a friend of mine has just been out in the works car park and passed comment on how close my calliper safe to my wheel spokes, which is hardly anything at all, we're talking a couple of mm? Is this normal, as every other car seems to have quite a lot of space, 10mm plus?

It's entirely normal with 17' wheels and the Brembo calipers. The larger wheels sit further out in the arches.

Yup, perfectly normal.

Even on the 19' Ti rims the spokes pass the Brembo caliper with 2-3mm of clearance.

A true marvel of Italian engineering.

Another 'that's normal' comment from me too. It's a bit of a pain when putting the wheels on, it's very easy to chip paint on the calipers but other than that, it's fine. They are very, very close though.

Thanks very much I assumed & hoped it was perfectly normal but having never noticed before I thought it safer to ask
