Engine revs between gearchanges
Hi, I have recently bought my first ever Alfa, a 2007 gorgeous black 159 2.2 JTS with near immaculate red leather interior and I am completely smitten and my 10 year old lad is even moreso :-)
I have read about the infamous hesitation/flat spot and I do notice that so at some point I'll almost certainly get the Autodelta remap done, however I think I have a slight issue that is probably not related to that. In first when dipping the clutch to shift to second the engine revs rise after I dip the clutch. At first I thought I was not coming off the accelerator properly but I am now convinced that it's not me. The same happens but to a much lesser extent when shifting from second to third and by the third to fourth shift its barely noticeable, if there at all. it feels like the ecu is holding the throttle open for about half a second.
Has anyone had this and fixed it? I have searched the web and this forum but I can't see anything similar.
