I have to admit I was very sceptical about these tyres, but the more I read the more I thought it was worth taking the punt.
My car came with acceleras on the front (clearly fitted by the garage to go through MOT) and continental sport contact 3 on the rear. IMHO, the acceleras where awful, particularity in the wet. So I switched them to Pilot super sports at the first opportunity. When the conti's were low I moved the PSS from front to rear, and put new PSS's on the front.
Those first set of PSS's I bought (now on the rear) have done 21,000 and should be replaced in the next couple of months. With a wedding to fund I've decided to take the plunge on the Vredesteins. I'm going to stick these on the front initially to see how they feel. I'm kind of hoping I'll be pleasantly surprised, and can save myself a bit of money in the future if the performance is decent. For me the priorities are wet weather grip (lateral and longitudinal), noise and to a lesser degree comfort.
I'm looking forward to testing these out and who knows, for those of you that missed the boat (assuming they honour my order) there may well be a lightly used pair available soon.
