DPF DIY advice
I know there's a million posts on this subject but it can be very time consuming to find exactly what I want answered.
Iv recently picked up a lovely DE-DPF straight through pipe. I will fit it after I get the MOT done so I don't need to worry for the next year and will see if it passes MOT next year with it. I am quite happy to get the car up and replace it myself (aware it will need a remap). One side looks like it needs a gasket, is this the case and anyone got an idea where I would buy it from?
Without the remap being done will the car run? What will a remap actually do and can any garage that offers remaps do it?
Once everything is fitted and remap done, and I drive it to my pleasure for the next year, if on its next MOT it fails on emissions, and I need to re en state the original DPF would the vehicle require another remap back to its original state?
Many thanks guys
