159 Selespeed "have Gearbox checked" and OBD tools/scanner
Having a few issues I could use some advice on. (2008 159 2.2 JTS TI Selespeed)
Today I serviced my car. Usual things engine oil, oil filter, air filter, coolant and pollen filter. Also replaced the dot 4 fluid in the selespeed actuator. (This was a week earlier and working fine)
Everything was fine. Took it for a test drive around the block.
Suddenly I got a few errors jump VDC System unavailable, ASR system unavailable and hill holder system unavailable.
Pulled over put the car in reverse and then first. Errors went away went to take off then got a "Have Gearbox checked" error come up.
Checked fuses pulled out battery which tested fine.(it's only a few months old)
Selespeed is acting pretty funny now. Won't go higher than 3rd gear and wont change up or down automatically in drive mode.
When changing up gears it won't accelerate until i take my foot off the accelerator and then accelerate again.
I feel like its a sensor or something because it has been running fine. Its still drivable and changing gears ok manually.
Any hints on checking sensors or error codes would be great.
I dont have any OBD tool but if anyone can suggest a decent one for testing alfas that would be great.
Thanks for any advice. Freaking out because no chance in hell I can afford to take it to a mechanic is South Australia that works on Alfa's.
