Greetings to all,
Iīm the owner of an Alfa 159 2.2JTS 2011 with the selespeed system.
The gearbox works perfectly, all gears are engaged smoothly and everythings is working fine.
However there is a thing that is keeping me investigating on the web:
Itīs suppossed that the selespeed pump must work when the car is off and you unlock it and open the driverīs door to charge the system, but in my case, I noticed one day when I was in the parking place that even with the car off, locked and myself out of the car, the selespeed pump works for 2 seconds or less every 5 or 7 minutes, I will take the time interval but it seems strange that with the car off, locked, without the key and nobody inside, the pump works at some intervals.
This is making that, if I dont use the car for 5 days, the battery dies.
Or could it be the opposite? A weak battery could be causing this?
Any help will be appreciated.
Regards from S.America.
