relatively new owner .... a little over 3 months

2007 Brera 3.2L Q4 SV c/w with fully Pro-Drived up shocks and bushes.

Spent weeks grinning as I threw it into corners and powered out.

However of late I've noticed that the back end seems to have become a little lively. Twitching out, even when cornering at normal speeds.

Even odder, a couple of times I have felt the rear end momentarily apparently drift laterally when I caught the edge of a pot-hole.

Weirder still, it seems intermittent.

Bear in mind that this is the most powerful car I have owned in over 30 years of driving and also the first 4WD.

Any ideas ?.... Is this something mechanical, or simply me adjusting to a very unfamiliar car ?

First thing I looked at...

no shortage of tread depth and no sign of any uneven wear.

Have the rear radius arms checked at an aligment centre. They're not normally known for anything going wrong on the rear other than the OEM springs.
It just could be a case of the rear aligment being way off causing a bit of rear wheel steer ( if the wheels are pointing a certain way ) as the rear drive unit sends more power to the rear end

Tyre pressures?
Getting used to the car and pushing harder?
Check again what tread there is and have aclose look at the very inside edge of each tyre; is there excess wear there?
After that if you are not mechanically minded either take it to a good four wheel alignment centre (not Kwik Twit) as they will check all suspension components before adjusting. So you get a suspension check as well as alignment. (Well that is what they are supposed to do.)
Alternatively tell us where you are based and those here will recommend an excellent independent near to you that will check it out.
