Red Face 2006 159 1.9jtdm Injectors

Hi all, this is my first time posting so please bear with me.

I would like to know if I can replace the diesel injectors on my 1.9jtdm with ones from a 2.4jtdm?
I am posting from New Zealand and all Alfa parts are at a premium over here, so if I can get away with using decent secondhand parts I will,
considering the other option is a new injector at NZ $1200.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Have you considered getting them refurbed? A number of companies in the UK can do this, a lot cheaper than getting new ones, around £80 (NZ$270) each, just search for a Bosch service centre.

What is wrong that you think you need to replace them btw? Short term you could stick some injector cleaner through them?

As I mentioned, I am in New Zealand and to get them refurbed would cost almost as much as buying new.
The injectors have been checked by a specialist and he informed us that no1 injector was on its way out.

Do you know if the 2.4 ones will work, as I have access to some second hand?

also do you have many Vauxhall (holden) cdti cars over there, many of the cdti injectors are common to the jtd jtdm engines.
probably much cheaper.
you just need the code on the solenoid top face eg

use the number off yours , phone a diesel specialist they may have on the shelf or try a holden dealer may be much cheaper than alfa ?
give the numbers of yours and the numbers of the 2.4 ones you have
you cant swap 8v 10v injectors with 16v 20v injectors and vice versa
the 16v swapped with 20v will work but the amount they flow will be different so you will end up imbalanced , maybe no better off than before ?
you could swap all 4 ? but ideally would need the injector duration map changed to suit(part of a remap)

as above advice, id add a good injector cleaner beforehand to clean out any contaminants in the system, then if you do need to fit a replacement one a new fuel filter beforehand also gives best chance of not contaminating new injector.
