There are a number of fixes. You can drop the subframe and get the remove the end section of the gearbox. You can then remove the three shafts of gears, strip and clean, replace all six mainshaft bearings and reassemble ensuring you refill with 3 litres of Fuchs Titan Sintofluid gear oil - ALL THREE LITRES.
It depends on whether you are planning to change the DMF and clutch etc. This will obviously add extra expense.
You can get the various Timken gearbox bearing kits via Ebay.
It's worth being thorough, cleaning everything and replacing the bearings. All six mainshaft bearings in my box were worn. It's a bad design sadly but once repaired properly, it should be fine for many years to come!
Rockin' all over the road!
